Why did my keypad stop working after I changed the battery?
Most garage door keypads lose their connection to the opener when they lose power, so a fresh battery often is not enough. The keypad has to be reprogrammed to the opener before it will work again. It is a quick fix, and we can walk you through it or handle it during a visit.
How do I reset or reprogram my keypad?
On most openers you press the “learn” button on the motor unit, then enter your new code on the keypad within about 30 seconds. The exact steps vary by brand, and older units can be finicky. If it will not take the code after a couple of tries, the keypad or the opener’s receiver may be the real problem.
Can you match a remote to my existing opener?
Yes. That is the most common call we get. We identify your opener’s brand and model, bring the matching keypad or remote, and program it so it works with what you already have.
Do you replace remotes for any brand?
